Kitchen Manager - Bristol
We are currently on the lookout for a Kitchen Manager to oversee the operation at our Bristol Smokehouse. Due to expansions, you will be working alongside the existing KM for a brief period of time before taking the reigns and assuming full responsibility.
At Bare Grills, our ethos is simple, we take fresh cuts of meat, and slow smoke them in our FEC smoker. We hand-press our burgers, and we make our own sauces. Given the nature of our food, the ability to plan ahead is an absolute must.
With regards to the role itself, your responsibilities will be as follows:
Heading up the team and being the captain of the ship
Responsible for all stock levels, including ordering, stocktakes and invoice management
Assisting in the recruitment, training and development of new staff
Planning, sometimes days in advance, slow cooks to ensure the needs of the business are required
Maintaining a high level of cleanliness, ensuring cleaning rotas are carried out
Responsible for all relevant paperwork to satisfy EHO – we currently have a 5* rating and intend to keep it that way
Occasionally planning cooks and helping out at events/festivals alongside our events team
This is a fast-paced kitchen that can to go from zero to 100 miles an hour, so the ability to remain calm under pressure is a must. Alongside the restaurant service, we also offer takeout (via UberEats), so the ability to prioritise and manage ticket times effectively are a must.
In addition to the salary, you will also benefit from 28 days paid holiday, an equal share of the restaurant tips, and progression within the company as we grow. We currently have 3 sites as well as our events side of the business, with our 4th site opening soon, and plans for many more in the future.
